Carrot Cake Recipe

ingredients
cake:
2 1 / 2 cups (625 ml) all-purpose flour
2 tsp (10 ml) baking powder
1 tsp (5 ml) baking soda
2 tsp (10 mL) cinnamon
1 / 2 tsp (2 mL) salt
1 cup (250 ml) vegetable oil
2 cups (500 ml) sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
3 cups (750 mL) grated carrots
icing:
2 1 / 2 cups (625 mL) icing sugar
1 / 2 cup (125 mL) butter, softened
1 pkg (250 g) cream cheese
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
stages
-Preheat oven to 350 F.
-Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in a medium bowl.
-In a large bowl, combine oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
-Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and add the grated carrots.
-Place in the oven and cook about 50 minutes.
Ice-Cream Cheese: Beat butter and cream cheese.
-Slowly add powdered sugar and vanilla and beat until creamy.
